Initial Physiotherapy Assessment
Your Initial Appointment will consist of a thorough interview, which is our opportunity to get to know you as a person, which helps us to devise the most appropriate treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.
Your Physiotherapist will look at your movement and identify your issues and their root causes. They will explain the findings clearly with you and outline a clear step by step rehabilitation plan with you.
You will leave your first appointment with clarity over what the problem is, why it happened and how long it will take to overcome.
With any remaining time in your Initial Appointment, we will start treating your issue in the first session. This may include some hands on treatment and or exercises to complete at home.
You will receive a personalised exercise programme with access to our app, which will show videos of your exercises and easy to understand written descriptions.
Follow-Up Appointments
Your physiotherapist may recommend a plan of care with the number of recommended follow up appointments likely required to achieve your goals and get back to what you love doing most.
The treatment plan will consist of education and advice, so you can understand your issue and know how to prevent worsening and how to optimise your recovery.
Your Physiotherapist may perform expert hands on treatment approaches. This may consist of techniques such as massage or mobilisation of key joints.
Your physiotherapist will guide you through the movements and exercises that are going to help you to reduce your symptoms and improve your function and performance.
Finally, the treatment plan will focus on building resilience, which will help to ensure that you are achieving high levels of physical and mental performance, as well as reducing the likelihood of the injury/presenting complaint returning in the future.

Follow up appointments
Your follow-up appointments within the treatment plan are an opportunity for us to re-assess your situation and ensure you are progressing towards achieving your goals.
We may change or progress your prescribed exercises, provide further education and advice, or provide manual therapy techniques if appropriate.
