Physiotherapy That Looks Beyond The Pain
We don’t believe in changing the way physiotherapy is delivered and that it should not simply be about treating the painful area and sending you away with a sheet of exercises with no hands on assessment or support through the process.
We want to understand:
- What's happened?
- What might be contributing to the problem?
- How is it affecting your life?
- What do you want to get back to?
- What needs to change to help you get there?
What Happens At Your First Physiotherapy Appointment?
1. We Listen
Your assessment starts with a conversation.
We'll discuss your symptoms, how they started, your health and activity, what you've already tried and importantly what the problem is stopping you from doing.
2. We Assess
Your physiotherapist will complete a thorough hands on assessment based on your individual problem.
This may include looking at your movement, strength, mobility, functional tasks and other relevant physical tests.
3. We Explain
You shouldn't leave your appointment confused about what's happening.
We'll explain our findings, what we think may be contributing to your symptoms and what we recommend doing next, with a clear step by step plan to achieve your goals.
4. We Start Treatment & Rehabilitation
Where appropriate, treatment begins during your first appointment.
This may include hands-on treatment, exercise rehabilitation, strength work, advice, activity modification or other appropriate physiotherapy approaches.
5. We Build You Back
As symptoms improve, the focus shifts towards restoring the things you actually need your body to do.
Because feeling better is important, but being able to confidently get back to your life is the real goal.
3. We Explain
You shouldn't leave your appointment confused about what's happening.
We'll explain our findings, what we think may be contributing to your symptoms and what we recommend doing next, with a clear step by step plan to achieve your goals.

More Than Just Getting You Out Of Pain
This is where I’d bring the Limitless philosophy into New Milton.
For many people, being pain-free isn’t really the end goal.
You might want to:
- Get back to running.
- Return to golf, tennis or padel.
- Feel confident exercising again.
- Walk further without worrying about your knee or back.
- Rebuild strength after surgery.
- Keep up with your children or grandchildren.
- Stay active and independent as you get older.
Your rehabilitation should reflect that.
That’s why our approach progresses from:
A Clinic Built For Rehabilitation
Our New Milton clinic combines our treatment rooms with a dedicated rehabilitation and exercise space, so we can support you through your entire journey. Built off the back of Tom our Clinic Director, working in Physiotherapy environments with only a treatment couch and no equipment to support you with your rehabilitation, we believe you should get a thorough exercise and rehabilitation approach within your physiotherapy assessment and treatment.
That means your physiotherapy isn’t limited to a treatment bed, because the demands on the body in the real world are higher than doing testing in a treatment room.
As your rehabilitation progresses, we can work on the physical qualities that matter for your recovery, whether that’s strength, balance, mobility, control, confidence or gradually returning to more demanding activity.
This gives us the ability to progress rehabilitation from the early stages of pain or injury through to getting you ready for everyday life, exercise or sport.

We Want To Help You Keep Doing The Things You Love
You don’t have to be an athlete to take rehabilitation seriously.
Many of the people we work with simply want their body to remain capable enough for the life they enjoy.
That could mean:
- Walking
- Golf
- Running
- Cycling
- Gym training
- Tennis or padel
- Gardening
- Travelling
- Playing with grandchildren
- Staying independent
Returning To Sport?
I’d retain a smaller sports-specific section so you don’t lose younger/high-performance clients.
Whether you’re returning from an Achilles injury, ACL reconstruction, running injury or another sporting problem, later-stage rehabilitation should prepare you for the actual demands of your sport.
That may involve progressing:
- Strength
- Running capacity
- Jumping and landing
- Change of direction
- Power
- Confidence

WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY

Not only was Alex lovely, but he listened carefully to everything I had to say & was able to recommend lots of different exercises to help with severe joint pain. These were exercises I could do anytime & anywhere, meaning I could really get the benefit from them when my pain was at its worst. I’ve had physio before & not found it of much help, but Alex has been brilliant & I now wouldn’t go anywhere else! Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Posted on Google![]()

Signed up for London Marathon and very quickly came down with shin splints, unable to run 5k pain free. Booked in with Alex for an assessment, and he was fantastic! He put together a rehab plan that focused on the root cause, to improve my running mechanics and strength. I worked hard on the program Alex put together and doing so meant I could start my marathon plan pain free. And I finished London yesterday! Say no more! The guidance I’ve had from Alex will benefit my running journey indefinitely! Can’t recommend enough!Posted on Google![]()

I applied for the Manchester Marathon in April 2025 and while training during couch to 5k I injured my Hamstring in August and it never fully healed so in early October I went Limitless Physio to work with Alex and a week later I was able to start slow progress running without any pain. I continued to do sessions about every 3 weeks for weight trading and exercise to prevent injury’s. I stuck with the exercise program I got given and kept pushing myself. Now April 2026 I ran my first marathon in under 5 hours and my body felt great throughout. Ive even felt confident enough to go and do it all again in 2027.Posted on Google![]()

I saw Alex end of December 2025 - amazing how he dealt with my issue & within no time I was back to playing Padel. Limitless’s physios are excellent as they get you doing exercises slowly & they do a programme for you which they send through to you on your phone/iPad & do your exercises at home. Very important to continue with exercises given by the physios to get yourself out of your pain & back to being fit. Thank you Alex.Posted on Google![]()

Following fracture of the femur, hip and knee pain significantly reduced thanks to massages by Charlotte, as well as recommended exercises for which she supplied videos with instructions. Good location in New Milton with free parking nearby.Posted on Google![]()

Alex was by far the best and most effective Physio I have ever seen. The exercises and routines he gave me really worked and I started to see improvement week on week. What really helps is Alex explains exactly why I needed to do each exercise, how progress will occur and the steps to full recovery. Understanding the process really helped. Obviously I hope I don't need to go back again, but should I need a Physio, I will definitely go back to Alex.Posted on Google![]()

the week before Christmas i pulled my back , doctor had put me on pain relief but i could barely walk and in constant pain. Managed to get an appointment with charlotte who assessed my back and clearly explained what was wrong, and set a gentle programme of exercises . I've now had 5 visits and my back is good as its ever been , each visit new exercises were set , then emailed to me or you can see it on an app if you wish . All appointments were confirmed by email and reminders sent , the treatment i have received has been excellent and i wouldn't hesitate in recommending Limitless Physiotherapy & Performance .Posted on Google
