Elbow Pain
Elbow Pain and Injuries can significantly impact your ability to complete your daily activities, hobbies and simple tasks such as texting, typing and carrying things such as mugs.
Some examples of Elbow Injuries include:
Golfers Elbow – This is a condition where the tendons of your forearm muscles attach to the bony bump on the inside of your elbow. Often, this is due to an overload on the tendons. People often try and use a ‘wait and see’ approach with this injury, but become frustrated when the pain worsens after several weeks and months and they start getting weakness in the arm/hand.
Tennis Elbow – Similar to Golfers Elbow, but on the opposite side of the arm where the extensor tendons of the forearm attach to the bony bump on the outside of the elbow. Again, often, people tend to continue their activities until the pain goes on for months and worsens, causing weakness in the arm.
Triceps Tendinopathies – Similar to golfers elbow and tennis elbow, the tricep tendons which attach into the elbow can often become overused and overloaded. This can lead to ongoing pain in this region that doesn’t tend to settle until the tendon is rehabilitated properly.
